UTM Series Intelligent Digital Displacer Level Transmitter
UTM Series Intelligent Digital Displacer Level Transmitter
▲ Summary Displacer Level Transmitter
The UTM Series Intelligent Torque Tube Displacer Level Transmitter is a self-developed liquid level control instrument with on-site data processing capabilities. The buoyancy drives the torque tube and core shaft to generate angular changes, which simultaneously alters the sensor signal within the transmitter. This signal is processed by an advanced signal processor to output a standard 4-20mA DC current signal, featuring a backlight LCD display. The processor incorporates functions such as linearization, measurement error compensation, automatic temperature compensation, and HART communication. The float level transmitter can be used to control and measure the liquid level, interface level, or density of media. This product series is widely applicable in industries including petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, food, paper making, and environmental protection.

▲ Structure Principle
The UTM model displacer level transmitter consists of forged process wafer body, inner displacer, torque tube system, and electronic measurement system. The inner displacer is submerged in the liquid within the chamber and rigidly connected to the torque tube system. The force acting on the torque tube equals the net difference between the displacer's weight and buoyancy. This resultant force causes the torque tube to twist at a specific angle. Changes in the liquid's position, density, or level height within the chamber alter the buoyancy experienced by the submerged float, thereby modifying the torque tube's rotation angle. This angular change is transmitted to the rigidly connected sensor, causing variations in the sensor's output voltage. Electronic components then amplify and convert these voltage changes into a 4-20mA current output. The transmitter employs a microcontroller with associated electronic circuits to measure process variables, provide current outputs, drive an LCD display, and support HART communication capabilities.
